What We Collect
Dragon Dice collects the bare minimum needed for the game to work. On our servers we store: the display name you type yourself (we recommend a nickname, not a real name); an anonymous session ID generated automatically (no email, password, phone number, or age); the contents of your current game (dice rolls, chosen categories, final score). On your device, the browser's localStorage holds your settings, statistics and achievement progress — that data is never sent to our servers. We also collect anonymised technical events through the PostHog analytics service (button taps, time-in-game, errors) with no personal identifiers attached. Your IP address is used only briefly for spam protection and is not stored in the database.
How We Use Your Data
All collected data is used solely to operate the game — connect players in a room, display scores, restore the game after a network drop. PostHog events help us understand which steps confuse or block players so we can improve them. We do not profile players, and we do not share personal data with advertisers.
How Long We Keep Data
Game rooms are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after the match ends. Anonymous sessions are purged 7 days after the last activity. Anonymised PostHog events are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. Local data (localStorage) lives only until you clear your browser data or tap "Reset" in Settings.
Third Parties (Data Processors)
We rely on trusted providers to run the game: Supabase (database and anonymous authentication, hosted in EU/US), Vercel (site hosting and content delivery), PostHog (product analytics in anonymised-events mode). All three are GDPR-compliant and bound by standard contractual clauses. No data is shared with advertising networks, marketing platforms, or data brokers.
Age Policy and Minors
Dragon Dice is intended for players **ages 13 and up** (matching the Dragon Family age policy). Children under 13 should not use the game; if we become aware of a session belonging to a child under 13, we will delete the associated data. For minors aged 13–17 in the EU (GDPR-K, under 16) and 13–17 in Russia (FZ-152, under 18), use of the game presumes parental or legal-guardian consent. Since we intentionally do not collect name, age, or contact details, that consent is expressed by the fact that the minor uses the game with parental knowledge.
Users' and Parents' Rights
You (or a parent/legal guardian of a minor) have the right to: know which data we hold about your session; request deletion of that data; withdraw consent to processing; lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (the FTC in the US, your national Data Protection Authority in the EU, or Roskomnadzor in Russia). To exercise any right, email support@dragonfamily.pro with the display name used and the approximate game date. We will respond within 30 days.
